01 / REGIONAL TRADE & TRANSPORT

Afghanistan – Pakistan
Transit Trade

The Afghanistan–Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement provides a framework for transit cargo movement through designated routes and gateways. The 2010 agreement followed the earlier 1965 transit arrangement between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

This framework supports businesses participating in Afghan transit trade through Pakistan. Malco Pakistan provides shipment coordination for businesses and individuals, with services covering containers, heavy transport and Afghan transit through a nationwide network.

Malco Pakistan has experienced professionals with information and knowledge of transit requirements and the regional network. Our team helps clients understand the documentation and transport planning needed for their cargo.

03 / TRANSFER FROM THE SEA

Sea freight.
Connected to inland delivery.

For shipments moving to or from Afghanistan, sea freight through Pakistan’s seaports can form part of the transport plan. Cargo arriving by sea is coordinated with the appropriate customs processes and onward inland transportation.

MALCO helps importers, exporters and traders plan the movement around their cargo details, documentation and required delivery timing.

04 / RAILWAY TRANSIT TRADE

Major Breakthrough —
Train Service

Rail logistics can be considered alongside road and sea freight when planning cargo movement between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Proposals for a Chaman–Kandahar rail connection form part of wider regional transport development.

For businesses and entrepreneurs, a suitable rail and road plan may help manage the movement of import and export cargo. MALCO can discuss practical shipment options and packages with clients.

Rail availability, terminal handling and any onward road transfer must be confirmed for the specific route and shipment before booking.
